A Journey Across Oceans: A Travel Story of Calculation, Curiosity, and Discovery

Introduction

Travel brings together people from different cultures, ideas, and experiences. Sometimes it also creates moments where logic, curiosity, and technology meet adventure.
This is the story of two couples-one from India and one from Brazil-who started an unforgettable ocean journey from Dubai to the United States.
Both couples were working in a large IT company in Dubai, and after months of demanding projects and deadlines, they decided to take a long vacation together.

Rahul and Ananya from India and Lucas and Mariana from Brazil had become close friends while working in the same office. They spent most of their time solving technical problems,
writing code, analyzing data, and attending meetings. But outside work they shared a common passion-travel.

Instead of choosing a regular flight, they decided to experience something unique. They booked a luxury cruise ship traveling from Dubai to the United States.

The cruise route would pass through several fascinating destinations including Muscat in Oman, the Suez Canal in Egypt, the Mediterranean Sea near Greece and Spain,
the Strait of Gibraltar, and finally across the Atlantic Ocean toward the famous ports of the United States such as Miami and New York.

Departure from Dubai

Their journey began at Port Rashid in Dubai where the massive cruise ship looked like a floating city. Tall decks, bright lights, restaurants, dance floors, and swimming pools made the ship feel like a luxury resort.

As the ship slowly left the Dubai coastline, passengers gathered on the deck to watch the skyline disappear behind them. Music was playing softly while travelers enjoyed food, drinks, and conversations.

Rahul looked at the ocean and said, “In a few days we will be standing in the United States.” Lucas laughed and replied, “And we will cross some of the most famous travel routes in the world to get there.”

The First Prediction

The first destination on the route was Muscat in Oman. Passengers were discussing how long it would take to reach Muscat from Dubai.

People started guessing randomly.

“Maybe 10 hours,” one traveler suggested.

“I think around 8 hours,” another passenger said.

Rahul checked his phone and calmly replied, “Around nine and a half hours.”

Everyone laughed because the answer sounded too precise. However, when the ship arrived near Muscat harbor, Rahul’s prediction was almost perfectly correct.

The Journey Across Historic Routes

After Muscat, the cruise continued through the Arabian Sea toward the Red Sea and the historic Suez Canal in Egypt. The journey then entered the Mediterranean Sea passing near Greece and Spain before crossing the Strait of Gibraltar into the Atlantic Ocean.

Life on the cruise ship was full of excitement. Passengers enjoyed international food, dance performances, music events, and cultural shows. Mariana loved the dance nights while Ananya enjoyed watching the ocean sunset from the deck.

During the journey passengers kept asking Rahul about travel times between destinations. Each time he provided an answer that turned out to be very accurate.

The Secret Behind the Accurate Guesses

As the ship entered the Atlantic Ocean on its way to the United States, curiosity among passengers grew.

One evening someone asked, “How long until we reach Miami?”

Passengers started guessing again-five days, six days, maybe even a week.

Rahul checked his phone again and said confidently, “About five days and four hours.”

When the ship finally arrived close to that predicted time, everyone gathered around Rahul during the farewell party.

“Tell us honestly,” one passenger said jokingly. “Can you see the future?”

Rahul laughed and replied, “No, I simply use logic and a tool.”

He then explained that he used an online to estimate travel time whenever he knew the distance and average speed of the ship.

Arrival in the United States

Soon the skyline of Miami appeared on the horizon. The long ocean journey from Dubai had finally reached its destination.

Passengers celebrated the incredible voyage filled with new friendships, music, food, and adventure.

Lucas smiled and said, “Next time people will think you are a magician.”

Rahul laughed and replied, “Not a magician-just someone who knows how to calculate speed, distance, and time.”

The four friends stepped off the cruise ship ready to explore the United States while carrying unforgettable memories of a journey that proved how simple calculations can turn random guesses into accurate travel predictions.
